Simina is 17 years old and is a student at National Pedagogical College Gheorghe Lazar in Cluj-Napoca. She was admitted to the specialization of teacher educator. Simina is very hardworking and is doing well in school. Simina’s situation is very difficult. Her father was forced to divorce her mother, she was an alcoholic and she was violent with Simina. Now she lives with her father in a room. Her father works as security man and he gets paid in form accommodation. Before living here they lived on the streets of Cluj-Napoca and survived from selling scrap cardboard to collection office. Although her father is disable, carrying an invalidity of grade II, he is a fighter and cares for Simina. He made the impossible for her so that she can attend school. Their income is comprised of the father's disability pension of 608 lei (about 138 euros) per month and 42 lei (about 9.55 euro) monthly allowance of raising children up to 18 years.
Simina is now a senior in high school. She is as hard working as always, taking care of her father, going to school and having a part time job at a salad bar in Cluj. After graduating from high school, Simina would like to go to medical school and to study abroad, but at the same time she constantly thinks of her father and how he isn’t able to live alone. Simina is a very kind and caring young lady, and we are happy to support her in her road to creating a great life for herself.
