I believe that we are all created equal, yet we are given different opportunities and challenges throughout life. To be able to embrace opportunities and tackle challenges we all need action and support. I personally understand the wealth in receiving support and thus my action is to give back. Everyone can give back by volunteering with their unique knowledge and skills and ForChilden offered me this opportunity. Along with helping young people is my special connection to Romania.

I wouldn't have imagined a life where I would simply take everything as granted and not care to give back. Therefore I joined FOR Children. I joined because of its core values and the ambitious mission to contribute to the lives of Romanian children in need, to try to make them better, even if it is only by a bit... so that they can grow wings to rise to their full potential and follow their dreams.

Volunteering is part of who I am. I joined FOR Children as I fell in love with the mission of the organization. What makes it extra-special is that even though we live abroad, working together feels like home and brings us closer to Romania. I believe in the power of education and I believe in our power to create beautiful stories.

Why I became a volunteer and a sponsor? It offered me the chance to fill something that was missing within me, the need for giving back. Often times I think I am too fortunate because I had the opportunity to turn my life in such a way that I can build the best version of myself. I want to share my good fortune and offer a better life to young people in need from Romania.

Helping young people reach their potential is one of the greatest joys of working with FOR Children

Why did you join FOR Children? I joined this Foundation because I wanted to belong to a group of warmhearted people who, by taking small steps at a time, change the lives of Romanian children. What motivates you when working with FOR Children? The children themselves, their strength, optimism and genuine hope for a better future.

I joined FOR Children because I wanted to give back to children and young people that haven't had the opportunities I had. I wanted to contribute to making their lives better, to giving them hope for a better life, a better future. It is a pleasure working with such a dedicated and energetic team as the FOR Children volunteers.

I have co founded this foundation, together with Huub, with the wish of doing something good for the Romanian children, the ones who do not get enough support to fulfill their potential, more than that, for helping the children whose chances are limited by the lack of money and education. FOR Children believes that these lacks can be covered partially or even totally if the efforts are focused in the right direction and that every step, small or big, done towards covering the needs of these children increases their chances of having a fulfilled life as a grown up.

I got enrolled by Loredana's enthusiasm and vision for what is needed and possible for children in Romania so I offered to contribute some of my (legal) expertise...never imagined I would end up as board member and fundraiser but have no regrets!

I truly believe in giving chances to people, because many times in life I have been given a chance and lend a hand. Sponsoring a child through FOR Children is my way of giving back some of that positive energy I received along the years. What motivates you when working with FOR Children? Working for FOR Children gives me the chance to do something good for the society back home and I love the fact it keeps me grounded and connected to Romania.

There comes a time in life when you realize that only by thinking or speaking your opinion you're not more that just a spectator. If you wanna change something, you need to take action ... to get in the game. What motivates you when working with FOR Children? People are powerful creators. An inspired team with a focused objective is unstoppable. After all .. in the end we only continue to live through the lives we've touched.
